Our Spring Success at Kipp: Miami Charter School
This past spring, we had the pleasure of running a successful after-school art program at Kipp: Miami Charter School. Over the course of the semester, we worked with 18 students from grades K-8, guiding them through the fundamentals of acrylic painting, color theory, and brush techniques.
The students explored a wide range of artistic ideas, blending colors and mastering different brush strokes. Not only did they grow artistically, but the experience also helped them build focus and patience, two skills crucial for both academic and personal success.
Positive Reviews and Valuable Insights
Our program received overwhelmingly positive reviews from both students and parents. It was wonderful to witness the joy and pride on each student's face as they completed their projects. Parents shared how their children were more enthusiastic about art and more confident in their abilities.
We also gained valuable insights from our time with the students, which is why this fall, we are excited to offer a drawing intensive program. This will dive deeper into sketching and fine arts, helping students further refine their artistic techniques while encouraging individual expression.
